Social Enterprises Sustainability Network

​SENSENET - Social Enterprises Sustainability Network is a project focused on creating a Learning Network Model to support Social Economy Enterprises managers and human resources, who face challenges in dealing with the recruitment, welcome and retention of vulnerable people. 

SENSENET aims to raise awareness on social economy and its importance as an engine of social innovation and to foster mutual learning and exchange of good practices among different european countries on diversity management in social economy. Furthermore, SENSENET stands to build capacity of SEE's and SEO's managers and human resources to include diversity in their recruitment and management processes and to improve their performance in terms of social innovation and cohesion.

4th March 2019: Launch of the report “Enhancing diversity in social economy organisations and enterprises across the European Union – a state-of-the-art on existing practices”
Evidence review on best practices to assess the SEOs’ needs and existing learning programmes is the first intellectual output of SENSENET project and its result, the report Enhancing diversity in social economy organisations and enterprises across the European Union – a state-of-the-art on existing practices, is now available to be consulted.

The present publication is an exploratory research at the national and European level on existing best practices to support micro, small or medium social economy enterprises and organisations. The identified practices are focused on improving SEOs’ managers and human resources performance by enhancing the potential of disadvantage workers.

This report is the result of all the outcomes gathered by SENSENET partners which have approached several stakeholders at the local level and collected their practices but also their needs. It will present encouraging practices, on which basis SENSENET partners formulated recommendations to build accurate and efficient tools, sticking to SEOs and SEEs needs in terms of recruiting and managing diverse human capital to foster their performance.

​The 4th edition of the Global Social Economy Forum GSEF2018 will take place in Bilbao. 
The Global Social Economy Forum GSEF is an international network that brings together local governments and civil society stakeholders committed to supporting the development of the Social Economy (SE).
Based on the collaboration between social economy organizations and local governments, the GSEF supports creation of quality jobs, fair growth, progress of grassroots democracy, and sustainable development. 
​"GSEF aims to serve as a hub for sharing visions and experiences through cross-border collaboration and cooperation based on multilateral partnerships for an inclusive, equitable and human centered world for all of us."

​On June 4th 2018, the third edition of the European Day for Social Economy Enterprises took place in Brussels.
Organized by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), it gathered policy makers and social economy actors who discussed the progress in terms of building a European ecosystem for social economy enterprises and worked on the next steps to ensure this sector’ scaling up.

International Diversity Forum
January 22nd 2018, France, Paris
​On January 22nd 2018, the International Diversity Forum took place in Paris. Organized by the OECD Centre for Opportunity and Equality, and in cooperation with the Club XXIème siècle, the conference gathered policy makers, economic leaders and around 1000 participants from more than 70 countries to discuss and share good practices in terms of diversity.
